#006 Mk V Yellow (1996), Ross Burton (Australia)
Submitted on: 02/02/2006
Ordered from NC V twins June '96 but did not arive until 6mths later. Has 35 000 on the clock but is in the process of being rebuilt after a big crash. Bent frame. Should be registered again later in 2006. Sorry but do not have an image at this time but will forward one when the rebuild is complete.
Update from Rossco (feb 06) -
Finally got around to getting some images from home. These are 97 shots of our Mk V on the day it arrived.
Feel free to choose which you think is appropriate. The shot with MP warming it up is taken at Phillip Island at the 2001 Grand prix.
We try to go down there once a year but the trip is 2000 miles from our home. Mostly we go with the ex-pat poms who live next door. Also sent a couple of pics of other dukes we own as well. The ST is a full monty 996 jobbie that has a bit more room for the long hall to the Island . It is really fast but we call it the barge for obvious reasons. We have had the bevel drive since 84 and it is part of the furniture. It is so loud it sets off the alarms in parked cars along the road.
(looks like Rossco's garage is a bikers paradise, and about the same size as most homes in the UK - Colin)
