#021 Mk V Red (1996), Colin (ziggi) (England)
Submitted on: 01/28/2006
Bought in January 2006 from owner who had hardly used the machine since 2000. Had largely been sitting in a workshop covered up for best part of 5 years.

Panels and all paintwork in immaculate condition. Bike taken directly to ProTwins for belts service, tyres & chain and sprocket for a now totally immaculate SL with under 6000 miles.

Bike is in original condition with the following changes : carbon termignoni cans, dynojet & K&N filter. Bike originated from Chris Clarke motorcycles (Ducati dealer since closed) in Kent, England. Only 3 other owners and the first of them being registered as the dealer.

A very fortunate find. More pictures to follow when it's back from ProTwins.

Some further information 03/02/2006 - I contacted Ducati UK with my frame and engine number and they confirmed that my bike was a genuine superlight but one that was destined for Japan. I'm not sure it ever made it to Japan as it was first registered in UK as a new bike (i have all the original docs).

Some further information 01/03/2006 - Even more discoveries - the bike has got Mikuni flat-side carbs on it with the associated throttle and cables. I'm not sure how to determine what size they are. Pro Twins seem to think they will definately be 39mm. If anyone knows how to tell email me please - ziggi@900SL.com
